Cyberbiosecurity and AI knowledge base development
Alan leads data privacy and cyberbiosecurity at BRMI, where he proposes safeguards for sensitive information, manages risk, and responds to security incidents across BRMI’s operations. His background combines hands-on experience in threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and security awareness with formal credentials as an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor, alongside certifications in information security and cloud computing. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Information Security Engineering at the Facultad de Ciencias Físico Matemáticas, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Miguel Alvarado González
Data Ops Lead and AI Solution Architect
Miguel leads data operations and AI knowledge base development for biorisk.ai tool, with expertise in AI solutions for business serving as a bridge between BRMI’s biosafety experts and the engineering teams. His path into AI engineering began in genomic biotechnology research, followed by running operations and infrastructure at a Latin American AI safety and biosecurity nonprofit, where he also led independent research on AI evaluations. Software developer and AI Solution Architect
Andre builds AI solutions for businesses, with a focus on automation, analytics, and conversational interfaces. He supported BRMI on the software engineering side of biorisk.ai, leading frontend development and UI/UX design to make the platform accessible to biosafety practitioners.

Machine Learning Engineer & Bioinformatician
Architect Lead of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, focused on the design and deployment of AI-driven solutions. Biotechnology engineer with strong background in bioinformatics, genomics, and biomedical sciences. Experience includes developing bioinformatics products and intelligent systems within healthcare companies and public health sector, integrating machine learning and data pipelines to support decision-making.
